Reflection

       

                                          Reflection

Over the span of this Rec leadership class I feel us as a class have really improved the school and helped the community alot. We truly have made a positive impact on the school community and activitoes and set good role model examples for many students at the school to encourage them to take part and help our school. I feel looking back we had a great year and did very well at making positive changes, I as a person feel changed based on my experiences and people I have met and activities done. I have a better understanding for a leadership role and it certainly will help me  for any jobs I apply for this summer and next year. This class truly is amazing and did very positive things for the school and its students and communtiy.

Initiative

                                  

                                          Initiative  

      Initiative is a very important trait for a leader to have, as it shows taking action and taking on any task even if you may not know how to do the task that well you will try your best to the most of your abilities and effort. If a leader does not have initiative nothing would get done and jobs will be uncompleted. Having initiative as a person in general is a great quality to have as you will get things done and achieve more. Following someone who take initiative would help reflect that onto others and they would follow as well. For some initiative can be hard as it can be scary at first to get used to and taking initiative around people who may have more knowledge than you or something it becomes intimidating.

Character

                                      

                                              Character

     Character is who you are and what makes you be you. What words you can take to describe yourself or words others may use is all part of your character. Character is what brings uniqueness in everyone, There are differences between a bad character and a good character. A leader should have a good character but both with their peers or around strangers, A good leader should be able to be a positive and respectful person and show the characteristics of someone who cares and would do their best, at the best of their capabilities. A character is also part of your moral qualities, knowing whats right and whats wrong and what morals you have set for yourself and what you stand by. A person with good character has the best intentions and positive and respectful morals and things they go by in life to be a good person.

Patience

                                           

                                               Patience

I feel patience is key for any leader, If you are impatient, non positiveness will come across to many people around you making you look bad. Even if you feel you can't tolerate someone at that specific moment you should still keep your cool and stay calm and collected. It is not wrong to try and correct others mistakes and get a little frustrated but you can't show it or take it out on that individual or group as you don't want to make them feel unappreciated and stressed. Most likely some people you may be impatient with, will sometimes be new to a task or have never done anything like it, these type of people will need the guidance of a leader with patience who can direct them in the right way to achieve the goal.

Humility

                                             Humility

Humility means for you to have a low view or humble opinion of yourself, you don't tend to think highly about yourself or brag to peers about something you are better at, you have respect for others which makes people respect you as a leader. I think humility is important because it makes people know how respectful you are and they want to be under your leadership as you are not always big-headed or bragging about what you are doing correctly.having humility is important as others wont see you as self-centered and they will respect you for that. Humble people tend to be more well liked rather than someone who is very arrogant, as someone who is humble will be more respectful and equal, but an arrogant person would think highly over his or herself rather than thinking of themselves as equal to everyone.

Attitude

                                          Attitude

 Attitude is your emotional behavior towards events, situations, or people in general. Attitude is  a way of thinking or feeling about something or someone which is shown by your behavior towards that person or thing. Good behavior as well as positive behavior is key in being a good leader or just a good person in general because people with good behavior are more admirable and someone who people would want to respect and help out. A good attitude is what you should have 24/7 because if people know how nice you are all the time they will know you as that really nice person who they would want to rely on.

Gratitude

                                          Gratitude

Gratitude is to be thankful and gracious for what is done for you, given to you, or a helping hand.

   Gratitude shows appreciation and lets people know how much you truly care about what they have done for you. Gratitude is an act of showing kindness, when you show gratitude it lets others know you are a kind person. Gratitude is the type of thing that will make a person want to help you more as you show them in return kindness.
